NAMRI (North American Manufacturing Research Institution) brings together experts from major corporations, government laboratories, academic institutions, and industry think tanks from across the world to advance the scientific underpinning of discrete-parts manufacturing. The activity of this group includes the refinement of core technologies as well as the development of emergent technologies and processes for material removal and material shaping, as well as research on manufacturing modeling, simulation, monitoring, and control systems. NAMRI | SME hosts an annual technical conference at which members present and discuss their research findings and ongoing projects. The NAMRI | SME Scientific Committee meticulously analyzes all research papers submitted for this event and publishes the collective output as its formal NAMRI Transactions.
